Radiation protection rules in Elettra Experimental Hall

During activities inside the Experimental Hall, it is strictly forbidden:
  1. to force open or to climb over a hutch door;
  2. to modify or bypass the hutches access control system or part of it;
  3. to drill holes in the beamlines shielding walls without the authorization of the Radiation Protection Expert or of the Radiation Protection Activity;
  4. to move radiation dose monitors without the authorization of the Radiation Protection Expert or of the Radiation Protection Activity;
  5. to move or to take away the lead shieldings placed along the beamlines;
  6. to climb on top of the concrete ceiling slabs of the ring;
  7. to work in an elevated position that enables to see the inside of the beamlines’shielding walls;
  8. to work above a height of 3 meters at a distance of less than 5 meters from the ring shielding during machine shifts;
  9. to move, to remove or to go beyond the fencing delimiting a classified area;
  10. to bring radiation sources or machines inside the Laboratory without being previously authorized by the Radiation Protection Expert or the Radiation Protection Activity;
  11. to move from one laboratory to another a X-ray generator withount being previously authorized by the Radiation Protection Expert or the Radiation Protection Activity.
