Structure of human telomere G-quadruplex in the presence of a model drug
G-rich DNA sequences are able to fold into structures called G-quadruplexes (G4).
These structures are the focus of a number of studies in both fundamental and applied research, from cancer biology and novel therapeutics through to nanotechnology. A multi-technique approach, combining circular dichroism spectroscopy, Synchrotron-based UV Resonance Raman spectroscopy and small angle scattering techniques, has been deployed to elucidate how the structural features of the human telomeric G-quadruplex Tel22 change upon thermal unfolding. |
