Photocathodes characterization lab at LBNL

Abstract
Many efforts around the world are being spending to commission Free Electron Lasers, that are expected to give insight to new branches of Physics and Science in general. The optimization of accelerators design is then requested, starting from design and characterization of high quantum efficiency and low emittance photocathodes. These are the purposes of the photocathodes characterization lab at LBNL, that has been commissioned and just started to provide the first experimental results.
