Connecting to ST-GuestNet
After switching on your wireless network card, you need to join the ST-GuestNet wireless network, where available, in plain mode (neither WEP nor WPA).
After a while your computer will get an IP address.
Fire up an Internet Browser (we recommend Firefox) and enter any URL.
You'll get an authentication page.
Figure 1
The first time you have to request for an Username and Password. Click on THIS FORM (1). After reading with attention all the instructions, fill the following form.
Your Trustee, a group of people or a single one visible clicking the question mark, will receive your request and, if everything is ok, will enable your connection in few minutes. After this time you will be able to navigate. Together, you will receive an e-mail to your account with username and password for your future connections (see figure 1). If nothing happens after a reasonable period of time, ask one of your direct contact at ST to verify your request with the trustee you chose from the list.
Notes
Your connection will stay on as long as your computer is connected to STGN, and up to your account's expiration date.
If you put your computer in Standby, Hibernation mode, you switch it off or you disconnect it from the network, you'll need to reauthenticate again.
