Photodiodes

The experimental chamber is equipped with 5 silicon diodes for light detection. 3 diodes are mounted on  a aluminum frame placed on the electron analyzer frame. These detectors are all at 60 mm from the chamber center. 4 diodes are SXUV-100 model and one is AXUV-100 for absolute intensity measurements. The following table summarizes the main properties of the detectors:

Diodes properties
model distance from center (mm) mask size (mm2) V X H Acceptance (H x V) deg2 Group/connection Direct beam position
sxuv100 60 mm 8 x 8 7.6 x 7.6 A 2 ThetaA +15 PhiA +45
sxuv100 60 mm 8 x 0.5 7.6 x 0.5 A 3 ThetaA -15 PhiA +45
axuv100 60 mm 8 x 8 7.6 x 7.6 A 1 ThetaA -165 PhiA -45
sxuv100 160 mm 8 x 8 2.9 x 2.9 B 2 ThetaA -60 PhiA 0

Photodiodes mounted on the electron analyzer frame: diodes 1, 2 and 3 are respectively at the upper left, lower left and upper right side of the electron analyzer.

Other 2 photodiodes are instead mounted on the ThetaA frame, at 160 mm from the chamber center.

Photodiodes mounted on the ThetaA frame: diodes 4 and 5 are respectively on the right and left side of the frame.

All the diodes are connected with triaxial cables to the air side connector, placed on a DNCF63 flange placed near the phiA motor. Two connectors are available and refer respectively to the group A (black arrow), and group B.

UHV connectors for photodiodes. The black arrow indicates the diodes of the A group, the other connector refers to the B group.
